LIFE  SKILLS

The Health and Social Education programme is a programme which involves personal development, health education and social awareness.

Objectives

  1. To provide current information about health care so that learners will be informed enough to make choices and acquire the necessary skills for a healthy lifestyle
  2. To explore topical and controversial social and civil issues and to develop an awareness which  will enable them to take part in the civil and political process during their adult life

A variety of means are employed to attempt to achieve these aims, for example, group discussion, experiential learning, day trips and visits from professionals and others in the field.
