The Outreach Family Support
Service is a service that is available to the families of
participants in CYTE. We have a family support worker that
works on an outreach basis. Parents/guardians have the option
of a visit from the Family Support Worker to their own homes.
This meeting is very useful regarding the cohesive support of
the young person while participating on their course. The
outreach worker will also offer support and encouragement out
of the centre when attendance wavers or decreases due to
external pressures. Some of the personal development
programmes available to the parents/guardians include:
- Signs and Symptons of Drug
Use
- Parent to Parent Classes
- Community Based Issues.
Generally, parents welcome
this contact with CYTE and support social events such as the
summer BBQ and certification nights. These events are an
opportunity for families to celebrate positive achievements in
their young people's lives. Make an appointment today with
Shirley to give you a tour of the centre........then decide if
it is for you!
